M2 Selling Road - Closure 4th October - 8th October 2021

M2 Selling Road Expansion Joints

We’ll shortly be carrying out work to replace the expansion joints on the bridge which carries Selling Road near junction 7 of the M2 Motorway.

The works will require us to fully close the bridge every night from Monday 4 October until the morning of Friday 8 October 2021 from 8.00pm until 6.00am. The works will not prevent any residents gaining access to their properties due to the closure points being located close to either end of the bridge.

There will be a four and half mile diversion route via Owen’s Court Road, Newhouse Lane, A251 and A2 which will be clearly signed.

Although the works may cause some noise, we will try and reduce this as much as possible by using acoustic fencing.

Please note that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. We’ll advertise the closures on yellow signs placed in advance at the junction/alongside the road.
